So, my last time using zbrush was 1 years ago. And I forget some basic stuff, which is currently make me stuck at sculpting. - How to make separate objects in one tool (ZTL document), lets say a sword and a hilt ? - How to make a hole in zbrush sculpting?
What are the techniques to work on a prop that is zeroed in a scene with symmetry, but at the same time have it posed? For example, I have a sword on the floor that I can easily work on, however Id prefer to preview it on the characters back. I would use a layer, but rotation destroys my model.
Wanda and the Colossus Trailer Looks very cool, it isn't a sequel to Ico but has some of the same style. For some reason the hero has to kill these giants to bring a girl back to life. One scene has the hero running up the sword of a colossus (that's how big they are). I'm really looking forward to it!
a viking i've been modeling on and off for a while now. going to add a seax and sword, and work a lot more on the texture. i'm also thinking about redoing the normal map for the leg wrappings, and improving the topology of the cloth on the arms. and i'm going to redo the hands. and going to add this axe: and quick space…
I think I like the shapes of stuff now. Gonna get the sword and shield blocked, and get to refining stuff. Threw her into toolbag to get a nicer look with a better camera than the zb viewport. Having a whole load of fun with this project!
To do list: DARKER BELT WAIST TYE hIGH LIGHTS ABOVE THE SHADOW ON TOP OF EYE GAPS HIGH LIGHT ONTOP OF MASK NEATEN AND WORK ON TROUSERS SWORD SCABBARD PATTERN? TROUSER PATTERN? BRACER PATTERNS? HAIR SILLOUETTE! BLADE HILT
These shots are a bit too bright/washed out but here are some shots of the new areas. Really have to call this done very soon, so as always comments, crits and questions are more than welcome. 'Unreal dude will take the sword unto he'
Really nice man hand painting work! Something I find hard about hand painted textures is conveying what material objects are made out of but you're doing a really good job with your crossbow, sword and bag. Keep it up :)
Oh man you can't stop without making the gun. Also the sword doesn't look anything like the concept. The armor looks a bit too cludy/muddy. It would be nice to get some sharper details in there. Still nice work overall!
I think making the skull a little bigger will make the image more believable? Right now the sword takes up almost 90% of the house - you can even see it through the window. Neat concept though! Would love to see it finished. :)
