Hi all, I'm new to Polycount and 3D in general, the rest of my stuff is in my Sketchbook. I'm currently seeking feedback on a new sculpt. My newest sculpt is a WIP Rottilo, taken from a piece I found on Deviant art. I'm firstly looking for feedback about the sculpt itself; I've been getting into 3D since Spetember '12 and…
HI All, I don't believe i've posted anything in a particularly long while, despite being a member for quite a few years. I'm currently working on a portfolio and with that i'm trying to learn new techniques and expand my skill base as quick as possible. I can handle lower polygon models with ease , but my experience with…
Looks really good, cool design. You should make a low poly and actually do a bake, instead of just a quick polypaint in z-brush. You said you worked long on this guy, so you mine as well take it the extra mile right. Also, that gun looks tiny compared to him.
That sucks! I'm sorry you lost all that. Yeah I followed that tut but for some reason I can't get the flaps to happen fast enough. Everything comes to a halt at adding sine waves to the Z coordinate. I can either get one good timed flap, or a series of really slow ones.
WarZ was threatened by Paramount because of World War Z. Money plays a big factor, Bohemia probably didn't have the resources to go after them and Hammerpoint didn't have the resources to go to court to defend themselves. If you aren't rich, try to differentiate your game from what's influencing it as much as possible.
You need a few more edge loops in the wing to smooth stuff out when you animate it. You are turning the wing tip at 90 degrees to the rest of the structure, so with that extreme a bend stuff will get kinked, try to adjust it along the z axis some, so that it doesn't fold onto itself as much.
Go Remi! That's lookin pretty slick! I agree about the super high dof kinda kills it. I don't know how easy it would be to add some atmospheric perspective, but I think a z depth pass for fog would be nice and help reduce the background contrast to give a better sense of scale.
The addition of Zombie CTF is great fun. But The zombies are super dumb. If you create a Z Knight within the walls of your own base it will start destroying it while its on it way to attack the enemy. Also they very rarely get as far as attacking the enemy as the AI path finding isn't great. Still...its fun.
Is it colored! I wanna see it colored! Where's some color! Your holding out on us. All this tease with z sculpt awesomeness but no colors. I bet it's gunna look sick. Like, whenever I look at it, I hurt a little, and if you added the colors, I might hurt a little bit more.
Yeah, I just want to use the stock animations, my animating skills are pretty lame. The camera seems to get a bit wonky in z-up is there any way to fix that? For example, when I focus on the mesh, the camera no longer rotates around it like I want it to, it seems to focus somewhere off in the distance.
