the best way to predict is honestly to view in your 3d application , because lots of engines interpret specular maps differently, also depends on shaders etc, what you texture for 3ds max might be different for uengine etc , depends alot man.
Yep you can do morph targets after you skin, just make sure the morpher modifier is under the skin modifier, that's the beauty of max you can apply modifiers out of order and drag on modifier under the others if you need to. Update: I tried to disable Direct X and reset the material browser and set all my normal maps to have just plain materials and I still ran into the same issues, anyone know what else I can do?
