I would just invest in a 3D scanner if you really wanted to make the "better than picture" versions. The SENSE isn't bad for its price. @Eric Chadwick Thanks for the warm welcome! And that's a good tip on the JPGs — really helpful. I've already swapped them out, so they should load faster now. As for references, I've been collecting some Japanese-painting-style and ukiyo-e-style art, plus some photos of real bamboo forests. I'll pick a few and post them… -
