I'd also not recommend going to a chain store, like Staples. They're cheap, but not usually knowledgeable at all, and my results at such places have always been low-to-middle range blah. If you don't care about the prints holding up under close inspection, maybe it doesn't matter, though.
Check on 3dhub.com if there is any interesting hub in your area. I think it's nice because you can support printer owner and your region and you can get estimate from different type of machine, material etc.

Being able to see different types/qualities of print in person ends up being much less frustrating and you usually end up getting what you want.
