Hey all, I've recently come back to working on this piece again. The ZBrush sculpt is maybe 75% there and then on to retopo and texturing. Any comments and crits would be much appreciated Cheers guys
I dunno, $195 for the Expo pass, or $75 for the Student pass isn't very pricey at all for a student. Just gotta get yerself there and find some place to stay, and yer good.
Neither, think modularity. A has hints of that but falls short. Save yourself 50-75% of your total texture size and poly count, thats where it really pays to optimize, is in the textures.
Haven't updated here in awhile. unreal engine side shading/texture work is like 75% there now, still need non-placeholder hair and then pose specific stuff like blood and weathering.
For anyone who doesn't own the game and might be interested in the contest, there is a free weekend going on where you can check out the SDK, and the game is 75% off until Monday. Steam Link
Looking good! Only thing I have to say is that the tiling of your stone texture is too aparent. It's way too obvious that you slapped on a simple tiling texture on 75% of your props.
To my knowledge, if you want a full suite of tools (modeling/animation/etc) your choices are blender or way over $75. And I wouldn't exactly call blender the least painful anything.
She gave Just Dance a 7/10. Contrast to Metacritic rating of 48/100. She gave Dante's Inferno a 6/10. Contrast to Metacritic rating of 75/100. HMMM. :poly142:
I'll atest to what Eric wrote. Contributing and learning from Polycount has been 75-80% of my actual skill education. But I had to keep giving to get something back,
Roughly 100 tris there x4. - probably 75 for what his back blocks. Add another 35 tris to each side of the front I think it's easy enough for the low. It is a cool design.
