'Zbrush character Creation, Advanced digital scultping' by scott spencer is a great book for learning character work in Zbrush. He touches base with maya, and goes normal mapping and more.

Hm. In the BIOS the first video device needs to be set to PCI instead of onboard, but it sounds like that's been done already. What kind of monitor is it? And is this over an analog or digital connection?
