Thanks DanNC! I made a big career change in 2012 and no longer push pixels for a living. My hobbies changed as a result too, so 3D art took a back seat :)
Yeah, lost all my work in 2012 in a harddrive crash. What I use now is crashplan it's cheap and works well, they can even send you a harddrive with you files on.
Uh... If you're using Maya 2012 or more, Maya remembers component selections when switching component types, exactly like in 3dsMax, no need for any additional scripts anymore to do this.

I have an issue where the object disappears on screen using 3ds MAX 2015 (can't use 2012 version). I use the DirectX Shader and 3DS Max is on directX9. Any help is appreciated.
