You need a lot more breakup in your texture, and maybe a few variations of stairs, so it doesn't look like the same stair repeated over and over. Your stone work could be a lot dirtier as well. I'd get rid of the blood stains as they're not really helping any story of the environment.
I am very impressed with your forest fire scene. I have one bit of feedback regarding your daylight scene. I think you've set the frequency of leaves falling from the trees too high, I'd recommend lowering the spawn rate by 75-95%. Very nice work.
thanks everyone! hi Jeff, it's all modular, the shader has a few world-projected textures ( and a lot of small tweaks like rain stains ) making the tiles different in color. i don't have much control over it and i was worried about the shader's complexity but its working well so far.
I was also wondering about the water stain/drip texture you have. Are they decals, or are they vertex painted? If they are vertex painted did you use a separate UV channel to map them to the top of the walls where they should be, or did you just make sure that they lined up with the normal tiling UV set?
Love this! Saw it a while ago and forgot to keep up with it. Wow, this is great so far! Maybe it's a little nitpicky but the stone surrounding your stained glass windows look flat compared to the rest of the scene. It may be just that its getting washed out? Looking forward to seeing the final polish things on here!
Hey, I appreciate that Epic Forums is probably a more suited place for UnrealScript questions but I thought I'd try here quickly too. I'm developing a game that has multiple levels/maps and I'm trying to keeping variable information such as Score etc throughout all of the levels. When the new map is spawning, obviously…

Again, I am not saying that his rambling is all wrong in itself ; I am just saying that he did not answer the specific questions he was challenged with. In other words, Stephen Adams wanted to take the discussion further, but that Mike guy just re-iterated the view that actually spawned the questions. It goes in circles ...
