When creating a 3d environment for a portfolio from the ground up, what are peoples takes on using procedural materials they find online vs making their own for texturing their scene? Will using materials made by others be frowned upon when presenting a portfolio?
Hi guys. I made a macro that automates the creation of clown maps inside Zbrush. The macro assigns polygroups to all your subtools and converts the polygroups to polypaint. I thought this might help others when baking their ID maps. Later, Alex
Overall it is a simple task but it really gets crowded if you have around 20 different channel packed assets. All that smoothness, metallic, transparency etc. Masking all of them one by one can be so annoying and time consuming. I really was hoping for a software that does it all with one click, since it is a simple task.…
Really cool! The wood really ''feel'' like wood (if it make sense :D )! The last mag looks great, maybe the ''red brown'' color need to be a little more brighter or saturated? (like on your picture.)
Best mech I seen in a long time. Lot going on but not too crowded that I can't tell whats going on. The arms do get lost just a tad. Other then that I applaud your tenacity!
What is weird is if I select everything in the environment and move it up a good distance then the paths will change correctly. No more blocking problem but the crowd system does not work anymore. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
So refreshing, Its like getting squirted with lemon juice in my eyes! Take notes aspirant 3D artists, not everything has to be brown/grey/greenish with tear and scrathes(made by cats) and lots of blood.
I like Mudbox's viewport inferface better than Zbrush. It seems more roomy and less crowded unlike Zbrush. It took me a while to get use to Zbrush's inferface. With Muxbox it was very easy to navigate.
killer Joker man, definitely like the end result. i think a little more color variation on the teeth would of worked, maybe a little more brown. but its done so its still cool.
