Hey PC's! I'm working on a water tower for a school project. I'd like to get some critiques from you guys see if I'm headed in right direction. I got 50% of the diffuse done...I think. It's a 2k tri limit, and this one is sitting at 1981 tris. Hipoly Thanks for watching, and happy memorial day!
Hey PC, For my senior project at AI-SD, I'm doing a serial killer voodoo guy in the Mississippi delta that takes place in the late 50's. Here are some quick pages and screens of what ive been grinding on. All c&c's welcome. MUCH more to come. Thank you, Jim.
Here is a site that has all the leaked black friday ads posted http://www.blackfriday.info Some of the stores have some pretty awesome deals, especially walmart and circuit city. I may pick up a gameboy micro from walmart for 50 bucks and maybe a couple of 1gb SD cards for only 3 bucks each
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/view/ Alot of profound shit. PBS seems more Fair and Balanced then any crap I've seen on advertisement supported television. Watch the latest Frontline videos, if you're still planning on voting....OK, it's only limited to 50 states as opposed to a world.
Looks awesome Jacob! Where in the hell do you find the time to do this? hah Dave JR, think of it this way. $50 for a very in depth tutorial that shows every step of a very nice looking texture, from a texture artist at a top tier game company isn't that much to pay ;) Will buy!
I used to play a lot of shooters as a kid. There's something so.. interesting about the military that piques my curiosity. I think it's the way they're portrayed in modern society, about being valiant and brave.. ..when in reality 50% of them are probably doing aimless non-combat jobs around their base ;)
in the exporter you can set the export size and calibration profile, but i gues you might have found that already. so if you set it to 100% in the exporter but it still only exports your 50% workresolution, i would probably open the reimporter and set the workrez to 100%, regenerate and then export again.
Not sure I follow. The reseller I listed confirmed you could purchase the $250 student suite, and then upgrade to the commercial version of just Maya for $1300. True, you can't purchase just the Maya student version for $50 or so, but an extra $200 is a small price to pay for a discounted future upgrade.

Hey joker, One thing I would suggest for any porfolio... Quality over Quantity... 3 solid, finished pieces is way better than 50 half finished. I would scrap 90% of the models and focus on your best 3, take those to full completion and go from there
