Ive seen the trailers for Doom 4 and Ive seen the wikipedia page on id tech 6 and I just wondered what we really know for sure about this engine? Doom 4 looks great but are they really using voxel octree rendering? It still looks like triangle based models in the screenshots so what does that even mean?… -
Looking to get a laptop
So any recommendations or horror stories on any companies I should consider? hey pior, under the n panel there is a collections tab which lists all your collections and shows you to which collections your selected object belongs (bottom left corner in screenshot) you can also view and hide collections with 1 2 3 4... and shift + 1 2 3 4... where each number stands for the position of your collection -

Nothing, it's been pretty stale for the last couple of years. Look at some top notch games from 2015, like Fallout 4, The Witcher 3 or The Order 1886. The differences between those and current assets are negligible at best. Fallout 76 even used some assets from Fallout 4, so... what kind of "next-gen" are we even talking… -

I just want to clarify a common misconception, here. Average people aren't 8 heads tall, and nowhere near 9 heads tall. Most people are 7.5 heads tall, with 8 being 'tall' and 8.5 being 'real damn tall'. 5.5 heads tall is pretty dwarfy (around 4 ft 4 in), so it's probably just the perspective throwing people off.
