Hello Everyone. I've been trying to fix these artifacts for a long time but didn't succeed so maybe you could help me with that. Basically, I've created some objects in Blender, both low and high poly: Low: High: I've marked seams on hard edges and unwrapped the low poly: Then I exported both models to SP. I've been using…
Long shot, but I'm hoping someone in this community might be able to help with a preservation project. Chromacolour (the UK-based animation supply company behind the cel paints used on films like *Who Framed Roger Rabbit*) sold three digital color palettes up until around 2012: - **Series 100** — 600 colors - **Series…
I think JamesWild is talking about going into Photoshop and manually "painting" in edge padding? Like what Mekhollandt suggested already. I just ran into this problem with no AO map padding and just shrunk the UV shells a tiny bit in Maya until the black lines went away, but I was only using a diffuse map. Maybe give…
I'm quite confused by rigging and I was wondering if there are any experienced riggers around who can share their insights. I've created a model and a rig for a character and I created a character set called MainCharacter. It was created as a clean empty character set, and I only manually added all the desired attributes…
Hi! Nice updates! Thanks for reminding me of the challenge  @BillyJackman I like personality it got, with the frame looks like it has a grin. If you intended to work on this some more, I think some dynamism/ folds in the hanging scroll would enhance it more. And perhaps some more material definition, so it…
Hello! For some time after baking from low poly to low poly I've been facing some dashed lines on my model. They are quite prominent on ao and curvature maps; however, there are some artifacts on the normal map too. UVs and wireframe seem to be okay, so I don't get why it's happening. Here are some screenshots.
My first time creating a 3d hair piece. Any good tutorials out there that focuses on this? Went to archives really quick to the old reference thread (we should start a new one). Didn't see anything specific. I mean I understand that it should be more sculptural and see the hair as shapes versus strands. And for things like…
well i change the padding to 18 and got even thicker lines as a result i tried it with 0 and got the same. i'd like to also add i'm having to resave the tga file after render because if i don't it doesn't save correctly and you get this mess.. oh, if i haven't mention i'm using default lighting with a skylight on the…
I've started trying to learn 3D modeling/texturing this past month and there's a problem I keep running into. I'm using blender but I get the feeling that this is a hurdle that's universal to 3D modeling. I'm working super low poly at the moment, often extruding each face by hand and haven't really even touched surface…
lets say I have a camera moving through a town , as the camera moves through the street the houses in the town starts switching themselves out with other models creating this illusion of morphing ... I saw a video online that gave this illusion that the environment was morphing into different states . I guess like an…
