Not true. While it's standard to bake your models, it is not necessary all the time(look at Valve games) These would be good for vfx imo. So no, they're not useless for "CG". incredible. It looks too over the top to be realtime if you ask me. Every move is planned and the effects shown are a bit too crazy. There are fluid effects for fire, Lots of particle FX for explsion, motion blur, facial expression. It looks just too heavyto be realtime or nonscripted. Anyway, i really enjoyed the action… -

I talked to my mentor and he told me that these seams are impossible to remove from view and the best I can do is blend materials above it and avoid having a flat surface there, or a change in depth that goes along either side the seam.
