Hi! First off, awesome work! The function looks like this: activeDocument.activeLayer.adjustLevels(0, 255, 1.0, 0, 255); Does that help? Please post some ingame shots of this when its done!!
Yes, I believe it is not implemented in 2.5 Alpha 1 yet (or it has moved). And yes, the fact that there is no bevel tool in 2.5 yet (5 months on?) is ridiculous. I'm still using 2.49 myself.
Ive been given a project at the day job that's driving me ever so slightly [more] nuts.... Ive done some basic research and asked on some rendering forums, but haven't got any useful info, so I figured I would ask the collective wisdom of the PC Community... This is more a rendering question, but I can see applications…
gradient map, 2 points. 1 at a value of 255 with alpha of 0 for the metal areas. second point with a value of 0 with an alpha of 255 for the metallic areas. metal/rough for spec/gloss same thing but the metal areas are the spec color of the metal. also, don't over think it - its not that complicated.
yep, if you always use the same colour : drop an RGB Tint material in the opacity slot, and for magenta (255 0 255) set the colours to r - black g - white b - black
UPDATE: this only happens with 2.5 version. I just tried 2.1 and it works, but it lacks some features like AA, presets, etc. I also tried deleting the macroscript file and reinstalling, but the problem persists. I read that with max 2009 something called avguard is needed for version 2.5. Is this needed with 2011?
