I agree with Neox. How is this weapon supposed to be held/used? This is a fundamental flaw in the design. It doesn't matter how skillfully you render this as a piece, the functionality as a weapon is questionable.
Thanks @Solaire I'm in your debth, what weapon would you like to see modeled? I'm curious to know which popular weapon in main stream media was never showcased in polycount?
Cheers guys. Here is another weapon (Thanks again Tyson Murphy and his training video). Think I might do one more weapon before moving onto characters and skin.
Im making this weapon for the cry engine 3. It will be a first person weapon, so it will be really close to the player. For the texture space i will probably go with a 2048*2048 or with the cry engine 3 spec...
I'll try this one out, just need to figure out my weapon of choice. Found this awesome list. List of melee weapons that doesn't exist but should. Spork-light-saber wtf?
..been said before - probably here somewhere - but the weapon manufacturer 'Steiner-Bisley GMBH' (in weapon specs) is a nod to Daisy Steiner and Tim Bisley, main character names from the series 'Spaced'.
Very nice modelling! This weapon is simetric? :S i don't imagine myself changing the magazine, imo this weapon is cool looking, but not practical/functional. Are you going to build a normal map model?
the troll looks awesome to me but the weapon isn't clear enough i think. it's just that i can't the what it has on its end (the round thing) and how it's attached to the weapon.
Well, I have a different opinion, if you like a claymore-like guard, that you should make a weapon model for the claymore weapon, not the zweihander, a zweihander shouldn't look like that.
wow! quick responses! Thanks guys mop-more's a coming...all those weapons..are only the COMMON weapons.. I made hundreds of uniques that I have to sort out.
