Hey again man, cool looking rock :) Still though the spectrum of values you're using seem to be very narrow, which is why the rock is turning out fairly dark/flat - if you were to increase the lights and darks it would really make the details pop more. Just did a quick brightness/contrast filter over the top, might be a…
2nd Glenlivet! smoooooth... supposedly the ads in the 50s n 60s use to tout tradition of a single drop of water but I just fill up a rocks glass with rocks. Though not a scotch whiskey... the most expensve drink I ever had was a snifter of Louis tres. ( Remy Martin Cognac Louis XIII ) A lot of places will enter your drink…
Ok I need help. the shadows from the foliage seem to be affecting the wrong side of the geometry of the rocks...so it's creating this weird dark spot. UDK isnt treating the rock as two sided...even though it is. I'm not sure how to fix this. So help would be sooo appreciated. What's left: Crates god ray or rays…
I wish the 360 had an option to rotate profiles between controllers, mostly for 'friend' games such as Rock Band and SF4 where people pass stuff around every few matches/songs/rounds. I know SF4 doesn't save win % for local stuff but it would still be a nice option to keep from switching button configs around or like RB,…
awesome, she's really sexy. The rock part is looking really nice as well. I think she could go with some more small close range weapons or accessories, but not too much to detract from the big rock halberd. Maybe like a small axe or sword, or lava grenedes! (but how would you know theres lava in them?..) She must be strong…
I had last night sculpted 2 rocks and sort of prepared a quick placeholder mockup of the scene.. but my scale was off in some places, and I didn't like how the scene was not looking good if I moved the camera. So after taking a good night sleep, I decided to do it properly, and setup scale first for the foreground…
A great tool that max has.. and not many people use it.. in fact i bet many think it's pointless and useless :) so they never noticed that it is now slightly broken but still very much usable and in exactly the same way. It takes a few extra words to explain how and why use this instead of WP, but it is much easier to use…
Hi all, Iv recently moved from UDK to Unity in UDK through the material editor, it was possible to paint meshes with other materials in the editor. for example if i had a rock with the material created for it, then created a panning sand texture, i could blend the sand texture straight onto the rock mesh. Strumpy seems to…
I'm looking for a way to break a gradient into a variable number of steps. The effect I'm going for is a shale like flaky rock surface. Right now I'm using a curve but that's less than elegant workflow-wise. I'd like to be able to use a dynamic gradient and have the steps controlled by a stepped gradient that can be…
Just released the modular cliff system. An 18 piece collection of large rock formations to easily design cliffs, caves or whatever your level requires. 5 square shaped, 5 oval shaped and 8 flat rocks. All have 360° of usability. Each piece also has 3 materials: gray, desert and brown. As well as a 3 level LOD system. You…
