i dont think it was "more like quake than doom" and if it was its only because quake was a more recent progression of the FPS game. Quake was a lot like doom in that you went around shooting stuff but it added stuff like proper 3d.. ai.. and that! and doom is the same its just adding to the roster of effects and machanisms…
