Hey guys, So I probably should have shared the WIP of this piece and then posted the final version... but that time has been and gone. However any further advice or critique of what I could do better or improve upon for my next project would still be very much appreciated :) I've posted more images of final renders and a…
Hey guys i am looking to do up some renders for a banner/logo and i was wondering if anyone had any good looking space marine models i could use? I wont be able to pay, yet credit will be given if anyone is willing to donate them. What i was thinking of doing was moving them into a pose i wanted, then rendering that pose,…
Hello, This is a project I'm working on for school. Texturing is not required for this project, but I plan on texturing it fully at some point in the future. I would do it right away, but next month will bring another set of character assets, so it'll have to wait. This is film quality (or atleast that was the requirement)…
Hello! I took a big bite this time because I want to improve my skills and get better and I think this is the best way to do it - to take projects that seems hard. I think I have spent enough time on sculpting (Id like to fix is hand tho), I need comments and critiques on paint and lighting! Id call this a basic color…
Are your triangles exactly the same? If you didn't export your model with baked triangles before texturing, you WILL have triangulation errors. Remember that quads are extremely prone to creating non Euclidian surfaces (they almost always do) and need to be resolved before attempting to render in any realtime application.…
I think the texturing for a lot of the assets could be taken further, everything looks really clean and simple. It has more of a product render feel rather than a believable in game asset look. Like the tires on your newest car have dirt on them but everything else is almost spotless. Feels like you slapped on some base…

Apparently in Marmoset it's not complete: https://polycount.com/discussion/205863/how-to-bake-complete-lighting-in-marmoset - you can still try. In Blender you can give a go at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0M363A8um4 This is like Render To Texture in Max and you should be able to choose what pass to render etc. I…

and to be perfectly honest, if you don't want a high poly model, you always have the final option: learn to paint values manually and shade it yourself :) Baking AO is a way of saying, "I like the way the occlusion looks on this model given this renderer, so i want it portrayed that way in a given engine that will not add…
