Hey guys, my name is Leo, I go by Neebler on LoL. Currently working on some composition sketches for a piece featuring my favorite void monster, Cho'gath, fighting Fizz and his shark buddy. I will post sketches as I continue to iterate on image layout and conveyance of story. Feedback/criticism is encouraged, thanks!
Hello, I am a Junior at UCF and I'm looking to get critique on my portfolio website. Any help/critique on what to improve, remove, layout, etc... I'm looking to apply for some internships and I am not sure if I am headed the right direction with my website. http://www.jackbanta.com Any help would be appreciated.
Hey guys, Does anyone know if there is still a tool to flatten a polygon mesh by deforming it into its UV layout in world space? And then use it to wrap around any patterned geometry? I wanted to do something like this: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1115091&postcount=156 Can't find the tools anymore though.
Thanks so much for the detailed reply. :) So I should make it be like 4 pieces instead of one or a bunch of squares which is inefficient? What was the UV map like for your 4 pieces? Was it a projection layout and a perfect square?
You can find the screenshot here, it focuses on a pixel perfect stable layout. So when you switch subobjects tools don't move around: https://forums.cgsociety.org/t/idea-of-a-highly-customized-tool-shelf/2049418/9
made a few changes to the layout. Anyone have any thoughts on the CV etc too? Just noticed a a position i am kind of keen to try for and looking for any and all feedback before I throw my hat into the ring :)
I was going for a slightly stylized realism, yeah i did a bad job texturing and uv layouts especially, second time texturing, i'll make sure to keep all of that in mind for Petro/Blood, thanks for the critique, really appreciated.
I understand. So, as long as I have a proper UV layout it can recycle that and I don't have to go through the extra step of having a second channel with independent spaced UV islands like in ue3 to prevent bleeding?
Working in retail during the holidays is brutal, but I will be starting my cue sheets on Tuesday to layout all of the sounds. I will likely hit a hardware store to get some materials to build myself a little Foley pit as well. Onward!
Daym, swish setup Timmy! You guys have some nice layouts, mine is literally shoved into the corner of a room next to a window... will have to spruce up the workspace like this when I move to my new place :D
