HAPPY NEW YEARS! Let's see some badass works now for a full year! Mods: Not sure if one was planned, or what is going to happen with the 2014 edition. First doodle of the new year!
I'm looking for a freeware program that will let me edit paletted bitmaps, and also manipulate the palette easily. Paint.NET: doesn't really support palettes. Gimp: I can't abide the interface, and it seems limited support of paletted images anyway Does anyone know of any others?
In max 2010, is there an option to always have editable poly NURMS active (not the modifiers but sub object)? Recently it started switching off when i deselect the object. I dunno if updates caused this or i hit the wrong key by mistake, but i'd rather have it on all the time. Any thoughts?
You can set those resolution spinner to the values you want, click OK, then in the Options menu click on Save Current Settings as Default which should restore your settings the next time you open the Edit UVW window. The file probably only holds the point order for each face instead of per-triangle, and so the results are going to vary based on the method used by an app…
I imported this model into 3ds max. applying edit poly modifiers breaks the smoothing groups in it. How do I preserve smoothing group while applying the modifiers.
I can't seem to edit a single pixel in PSE. Even when I select a 1px brush, or even a 2x2px one with 100% hardness, I always get a smooth falloff and end up touching more pixels than I intended. Is there some hidden AA setting I can't see somewhere? Even the 'hard square 1 pixel' brush does this.
