I feel like I've started stagnating as an artist and as a result I want to start posting here more again. To start I'm creating this improvement thread to track my progress moving forward. I had a few friends suggest this as it makes seeing old work against new work a lot easier. I'll start by posting my newest work, and…
Hi everyone! I recently started a project to help me practice my Substance Painter to UE4 workflow. It's an Ultramarine Venerable Dreadnought from the Warhammer 40k universe. I'd just like to share my progress and see if anyone has any feedback for me at this stage. Here's my High Poly: The Low Poly: Here's my current…
So I saw an image on pintrest and was inspired. This forum thread will document my progress. Critques and constructive criticism are much appreciated at every step! Unless of course it's something that's too late lol Starting from my basemesh I created the head: Finished the rest of the body: The legs are pretty long and…
Hey guys, I'd like to start being more active here so I though I'd start posting progress updates on this new project I just started, Thief, based on a concept by Mizael Tengu. Here's the original illustration it's based on: This is my progress so far: I'm pretty happy with how she looks so far, although there's something…
Been a little while - still making some progress on this while under quarantine. I've started to sculpt the bird stand, boat, toucan and mouse in ZBrush, got their general shapes blocked out: (Still got to do the mouse feet at some point) We're expecting a little one very soon, so the progress on this will likely be much…
Personally I think this thread is really inspirational since it really shows off your progression. It itsnt a liniear progression but that because you try things out I feel. Im liking the direction the prince is heading, but as someone mentioned, you need to thicken up the connection between the hair and the scalpt. On top…
I'm having the same problem. I toggle paint mode and darkest elements immediately jump up massively towards white. Progressively turning Paint Mode on and off continues to lighten the layer, but to a lesser extent. I thought I'd forgotten to save something or was messing it up, and so have redone this work many times -…
Hey, So I tried a few different kinds of muzzle brakes/flash suppressors, but I just wasn't feelin' it. I dressed up the sleeve a bit just so it wasn't so flat and boring. Thanks for the suggestions anyway. Below is progress with the low poly and normal map. Still a couple things to fix, but wanted to show progress.…
If you didn't sign an NDA or anything, I think it would fine to post it for critique after the fact. IMO it would not be a good idea to post it before you have turned it in, for a multitude of reasons, including employer can be watching your progress, other applicants can be watching your progress, etc. Getting feedback…
made some more progress on her face, still a lot to do... @AgelosAp - thanks for your tipps :) yeah right I never made a face like this but I try to learn as much as I can, thanks for these nice reference artists!. Tomorrow I will work more on her hips. For now I try to make more progress on her face and before I go sleep…
