Neat idea, I love warped visuals like this! Reminds me a bit of that scene in Inception where they warped Paris. I think the metallic character detracts from the scene, because it’s in a t-pose, which isn’t a visually interesting shape. The concept has a twisted pose that’s more evocative. You’ve also repeated the…
Ok so I thought of a way of texturing parts of my model which are impossible to get to while the whole model is loaded in...I am using ID map baked from highpoly vertex colour. But there's some detailing I left out which I thought I could achieve in SP, so I didn't have to model it all into the highpoly. So I exported the…
Can anyone tell me why Some parts of my material as significantly darker than the rest ? It has to do with the normal map and is not visible in marmoset itself only in the viewer. To give some background info, I've painted everything in substance painter and exported it using the specgloss from metalrough. Inverted the Y…
Hi, everytime I import my fbx model into Marmoset some of the parts aren't showing up. In Blender everything looks fine and when I imported the same model into substance painter everything showed up fine and I was able to texture everything without issue. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
I made this cart as part of a collection of themed props to use in Second Life. The platform is limited to diffuse textures only, so all shading/highlighting must be baked onto the color texture. The cart is modeled in Maya, and textured entirely in Photoshop.Critiques on texturing/shading/model are encouraged and welcomed!
So, I'm flying to Montreal in a Week to finally start my first Job in the Industry. It has been concluded that shipping my PC in it's Full Tower Cooler Master case would be more expensive than simply buying a new case once in Montreal. So, I will be disassembling my PC in a few days to prepare for the move. This got me…
Hey this is looking great! I wish the presentation was better though. It's difficult to see the details and all the work that went into this. On your ArtStation page it looks like you just tossed up a bunch of misc screenshots from some folder on your PC. A lot of them unfinished and low-resolution and uncropped. Like, why…
I'm making this a thread because there really isn't a lot of coverage across the internet for these type of pants and maybe it can assist someone in the future. I'm trying to create a pair of really baggy pants. Won't be using any cloth physics, I'm just going to animate it with my rig. I'm going for something similar to…
@myclay May I point out that your screenshot of viewpaint is really the exact interface of Avid's Matador, so it was likely cobbled together with duct tape from commercial software somehow at ILM. Also felt truly awful to use (Matador, that is). Not envious of super secret inhouse software if we're counting that one. B)…
