yeah im planning to take those ones out, its only because i was mirroring the texture (which is being resized to 256x256. Its to be used as a Hud weapon, so i can take even further polys out soon enough. cheers for all the crit keep it coming!
Wow, thanks for the reply Paul! I've put in a request for them here at Mythic, so hopefully we will get them soon. We are using a facial bone rig similar to yours, along with your Attribute Holder for saving presets and such, so the DVDs would be handy to reference, I'm sure.
Yes. The DS was ridiculous, and the Wii was ridiculous. I sense some bitter PS3 owners. Pretty soon, all your snowboard/skateboard/hoverboard/wakeboard/surfboard games are going to look very boring. Oh wait, you don't have those either. *waits for the next snowboard kids*
Lol, seems that it was a hugly failed attenpt hehe. Saddly this was meant to be Tom Hanks hehe. This is one of the images i used as reference. If you think that it could get better with some suggestions go ahead , if you think it has no salvation I'll start a new one with a different subject soon
wow. i love that 4 wheel drive. on a different but not completely random note are you planning on making a motorbike anytime soon? i would love to see that i think it would be amazing that bridge looks crazy detailed *edit* that PhoenixShader is really really really cool!:thumbup:
i'm aiming for around 3k, its just over the amount at the moment. I'll be texturing him soon and im useing 3dsmax7. Heres the wires for the model, if u need more jus ask. Ive also just modeled and textured the matrix. pc is 700+ and using one 512 map
That's crap. Much like Tinman, I always had to say right off the bat "No, my job isn't all fun and games". Once you explain things, people usually back away from the issue. And as soon as you hit discussion on crunch cycles, they usually run for the hills.
I've worked on a game before that used self-shadowing parallax displacement...it's a very nice looking effect. It was easy to implement as an artist. You simply use a bump/height map plus a normal map. I assume that lots of game engines will soon feature self-shadowing displacement. mmmm.
i think this thread fails on the obvious part of making games: making the best and most enjoyable games. as soon as you start losing focus on that, your company loses focus, and you start churning out shitty games, and you might as well file for bankruptcy, and do other work.
I'll add you guys up as soon as I find the friend request button :p But I'm having a total blast with this game, I hate MMO's in general but star trek us actually fun to play. Hopefully they can get solid userbase as I'd lie to see this grow :)
