FWIW The Polycount server is still active. Should have support for pro-mod. If your in the Polycount steam group it should be listed in your game. More L4D2 news coming shortly...
also Polycount! If a game shows some new technique, people figure it out. I've never played the Uncharted games but I know how to replicate their material blending thanks to Polycount.
Well Adam did say Polycount was becoming an official company not too long ago so... Polycount is becoming an official games studio and the first place prize is a job, calling it now!
Ok on a more serious note, someone on Polycount is god and is putting polycount easter eggs on certain creations. Here is one known to man on a tissue cross section of a marran grass leaf:
The Panther Tank has 1010 Polycount, which to me seem's substantially low polycount Pie. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8a_DU3uyOCs/Sl-xMbJM50I/AAAAAAAAAFc/Bomy3Gncu4I/s1600-h/PANTHERTANK.png
well if you can still animate each part and the polycount is no problem you could also use the dynamesh model I guess. Use ProOptimizer to bring the polycount down to a reasonable level. but it depends on where you are aiming at:
wow good news, seems like theyre snapping up polycounters these days. hope it works out well! would love to hear some polycounters experiences with being part of a company like liquid after a few months?
Wenda (or apparently Choco here on Polycount), your work is a huge inspiration to me and in fact was the reason I joined Polycount in the first place. I hope to oneday be even half as good as you. Keep up the good work!
This is one of the main reasons I keep coming back to Polycount, not that Polycount isn't awesome anyway. I'd love to see some of these time lapses, I truly love your style. Edit: I worded that completely wrong.
Hello polycount, Its been a while sadly, But heres is my first attempt at a game spec vehicle. I have rigged it with full suspension animation capabilties and game spec polycount for a typical racing game on the market today. hope you enjoy..
