Hi! Looks as intended to me. The values of the border pixel where the UVs end get repeated outwards (edge padding) to reduce visible seams when the texture is displayed at a lower resolution (mip map). I suppose by banding you mean the stepping in the padded pixels? That's probably due to the UV borders not being aligned…
Hello, this is my new project. A video game Darth Vader. First I'm doing the High Poly in Maya, and the next step is to move the body to Zbrush to make wrinkles and leather. I ask for feedback because i've never made a video game character before and not know what steps I can be wrong. Sorry about my English.
Hi guys, I really can't find anything that can explain me step by step the process of creating hair for 3D characters! I know that I have to use hair cards, but I don't know how to create a good texture with specular and diffuse on photoshop. Anyone can help me? thanks!
The reason the outcome is negative for them is because their definition of a demo is that the purpose is to increase the revenue of the product. Alright so knowing that this is the reference (and setting aside the term "game-ready") which in this case is only making things confusing, I'll mention the following in addition to the above comment on perceived density : This Viking character works because all the various elements have been very carefully designed ; and…
Dear Mod!Can you tell me where do you found solution to the question? because I can't reproduce step starting whith step number two, unfortunately. it will be great if you could to share the videos or link of that tricky task.thank`s you!
What have you tried so far? I or someone else could give you step by step instructions, but it's better for you to learn the "why's" rather than just the "how's". Think about the shapes. What two primitives could be combined to make this work?
hey man, I just posted a pretty in depth step by step guide in this thread I think you could apply to your situation here as well. Cheers :) http://polycount.com/discussion/187282/advice-on-what-to-do-next-portfolio-resume-cv#latest
I have watched a lot of tutorial videos and I have to say that you do an excellent job explaining things. You don't assume the viewer has an extensive knowledge of the program and take the time to walk them through it step by step. Kudos on the nice work :)
Okay after reading 3 tutorials all describing the process differently I'm quite confused. Anyone care to post a step by step. Looks like crazy bump is definately for the win in terms of correctness of lighting but then their is an additive method as well which achieves decent results.
