Wrapped up Inktober 2017 with a plague doctor's mask, based on the "mask" prompt. Probably could've gotten more detail into the mask itself, particularly leather stitching, but I gave myself a strict hour limit today.

You don't need any of this - you can just use the hypershade command. https://help.autodesk.com/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/Maya-Tech-Docs/Commands/hyperShade.html for example this: hyperShade -objects $myMaterial; returns a string with everything that has $myMaterial applied to it.

I had ZBrush opening a new scene every time I GoZeded from ZB to Max 2017. Turns out it was a Max setting, and I cant remember where or what. Could be import settings in Max is giving you grief.
