Life on mars challenge?

Hey guys i found this on artstation

Do you think this could be the next concept for 3d environments as well?
I have planned for how life on Mars could happen way before such a challenge xD

Reminds me of those "design a logo" contests that were so prevalent a few years back.
It's sponsored content, where the sponsor is getting free concept art, followed by what looks like a pitch for free models later in the year. Doesn't sit quite right with me, but that may just be me.

You think this is done to earn some free ideas and save money perhaps? Because the prices cost (in retail) 5k as they say. To them it might cost half of it, but for a customer, it is 5k

Looking at their agreement, they do look to be reasonable compared to most other "contests" where they state they will not use the designs for anything other then promotion if they are not chosen. So that's nice.

Given it's not an official ArtStation challenge like Beyond Human was, I remain wary.
