Hey guys, So I had a really slow Maya scene and be deleting the non deformer history it sped it up by alot... But what exactly is non deformer history/ what am I deleting thats making it so much faster?
I want to delete history to delete polyBevel1 Node. But nothing happens on deleting history and when I move vertices on orig geometry , vertices movement shows on original geometry but not shows on orig geometry. What would I do?

I want to delete the history of a head mesh in maya without losing the blend shapes. the reason is I made a few tweaks with regards to the normal smoothing and want to collapse these tweaks I tried delete non deformer history , but it gives out error messages. Is there a work around for this cheers
comparing maya's history to modifiers though, is making history look useful it's horrible in comparison! Maybe I just don't know how to use it properly but most of the time maya's history is junk compared to the flexibility of the modifier stack
