http://offers.autodesk.com/8/87424/ Looks like Autodesk might be coming to a city near you (well if you're in the US) and putting on an afternoon seminar followed by drinks and elbow rubbing. It's no party on an Aircraft carrier but I'll be going just to find out more info about Maya, Motion Builder and FBX.
Like it! modeling sure looks pretty tight. Just checking the manufacturer's specs, frame seems to be milled from an aircraft grade alloy with a anodized finish alongside high strength steel for the cylinder. At a guess, since this is primarily a volley fire weapon, these materials were sourced due too their robust…
Hey everyone, Just out of curiosity how would you go about unwrapping a modular asset such as the Starcraft minerals? I know this seems simple, but I feel like there might be an easier way to do it than piece by piece. If not then oh well. I'm using Maya and Zbrush and I figure between the two there should be a simple way…
This is really good, i hate that yo got it done so fast. You make me look like a pothead who just sits around and plays starcraft 2 all day while taking hits out of my vaporizer, instead of getting work done on the pit... oh wait.
yes, the US also has 8 naval ships there and 5 more on the way, most ships carry disaster relief supplies on board in case they happen to be near a disaster while deployed. I heard this morning that an US Aircraft carrier operating as a mobile fueling station sailed through a cloud of radiation.
My grandfather flew photo-recon P-38s over occupied Italy in 1944. He retold his story to a gathering of aircraft owners and pilots. It starts here: [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmVzFOw500I"]David Toomey - Tall Tales and Vapor Trails 1/10 - YouTube[/ame]
Sweet concepts! Reminds me of Starcraft 2s effects style. Though goopy effects may be tricky if this is your first time doing FX haha. You have to get a nice crossover of alpha blend and alphatest to get them feeling really solid. Good luck! Again these look sweet!
When I read Ship of Science I thought of the Starcraft air-vehicle. haha. I like the ship with all the rear details but it seems sort of unbalanced in the front with no details. Then again some stripes in the form of a texture could make up for that. Keep doing what you're doing, I like it.
I'm not a big fan of the social injustice docudramas, so the two I'll recommended will seem a bit out of place here: - Carrier (multi part docu I saw on Hulu that follows the lives of a number of individuals serving on an aircraft carrier) - Dust to Glory (follows a few individuals doin the Baja 1000)
The Griffon Mk 12 is another Mythic weapon I had the pleasure of developing for Rogue Company. Working with other departments to bring weapons to life has been more inspiring than I could have imagined. You can see my Borderlands experience showing a bit, as we paid tribute to iconic fighter aircraft. Every kill adds a…
