Hi guys, I just finished a tutorial on how I sculpted and textured this rock: This final asset is a 2000 poly model, I have rendered it in Marmoset Toolbag. I used 3DCoat as a starting point then work more surfacing in ZBrush and finally texturing in Modo. Here is the tutorial video link: https://vimeo.com/118767169 Any…

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone has written, or could direct me to some good face/head modeling tutorials. I've been trying to figure it out on my own, and I can't seem to locate any good tutorials myself. Every face I make either comes out way to flat, or just looks like craps. Any tips or anything? I'm listening.…
@kanga Thanks for the input. You're right, I will stay more focused and on task. I'll mess around with z-layers at some other time perhaps. I'm curious how the whole high-poly / low-poly mouth bag thing will work. I think Pavovlich has something covering that with his "creature sculpting" tutorial chain, I'll see If i can…

You don't have to worry about the turntable part but you can go that far if you would like. You can just render a single shot that you want. Rendering a…

Thanks for the tutorials! Finally I finished my Volvo and I want to rig it. I see in tutorials that the wheels, car doors are separated meshes for the rig, but I don't really know when you should separate them for the rig or when it should be just by vertex group. I want the model to make it ready for Unreal Engine.
To recreate a lot of metals used in weapons Painter alone is fine, you don't need to design it from scratch in designer. I recommend these tutorials to check out workflows for texturing and creating materials in painter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XRQ1nEPNzk…

I love this theme! Are you using any normal maps? Those might help make it pop out a little more and give the shapes some more definition. This tutorial might be helpful. I'm not sure if it's too close to borderlands though... http://www.moddb.com/games/unreal-tournament-3/tutorials/tf2-shading-in-ut3
