Hi! I'm sort of new to DDO but i found my way to the effect properties that use object space normal masking to apply directional effects. When i open up the settings for it, the problem is that changing the sliders seems weird. I think it's easier if i just say what my spefific problem is. I have my dirt layer go on the…
Hi guys, I want to share some of the stuff I worked on for Ubisoft Blue Byte's Champions of Anteria. The majority of these went from concept to implemented model in 1,5-2 days. Some of the later ones are a bit faster, due to tight deadlines. (I cut some of the minor stuff out, the full dump can be seen…
Hello. Soo i am new to modelling and completly potato to texturing. I have done allot of hours on high polly modelling so i am familiar with a clean topology and soo on, but i am very new to texturing and havent tuched it much at all. 181 Fremont 52nd Floor - San Francisco Just posting some projects I did a while back when I was working in Arch Vis. Most of the scene here is already made ( Kit bash ) and the only modeling part I did was organizing the raw 3D assets that came from our Client's Architect. Since the 3D floor plan didn't exist- I had to…
the first thing I saved in 3D in google sketchup in school, still thinks that was pretty sweet The director of the art school afterwards was not impressed tho, despite nobody that age ever learning 3d, only got to art school after a recommendation of my art teacher, where we started C4D Took me 6 months to find out…
And Since there are so many Maya Users in this thread, I found this script on the forums the other day. Forgot who made it, but I give him props. It automatically hardens UV border edges, and softens the rest. string $objList[] = `ls -sl -o`; string $uvBorder[]; string $edgeUVs[]; string $finalBorder[]; for ($subObj in…
I would try these 2 things, not sure if they will help: 1) Under performance change your tile size to 256/256 - usually this is the fastest setting for GPU rendering. Don't know if you had a specific reason for having 240/180. 2) Try Denoising off Otherwise if you are comfortable providing the file, I am happy to take a…
3 or so years ago it was about 50£, now 145£. I'd say its a decent investment unless they start producing them again. My wife got a bright red Mad Catz Rat 9 (on sale -50%) couple months ago. It looks amazing and I love how much customization you can do. Especially the fact you can change the width and add new bits to hold…
The gif is really fast, its about 180 frames and i rendered it out to skip 3 frames for sake of file sizes. And then I must repeat what i learn here to another set of Aura FX's. I think I understand what you are saying.. hmm.. I will give the rigging it to a bone a test soon.. in the meantime, if i were to just have the…
I used their old free version before. Their current version just doesn't work on my pc well. Beside they seems to move from procedural texture details to repetitive bitmap patterns. Too repetitive imo covering 1,5-2 meters of a surface and still slow working. Not big fan of Substance product line either. Too limiting and…
