Okie dokie guys, Monday morning - Start of the level ups. Unfortunately I was one of the dudes that got let go from Kingsisle last week. Still a bit shaken about the whole ordeal, but I set out goals for my downtime and I gotta bust my asssss and make many pretty things. So with that, I'll be continually updating this…
Sorry, that was meant to be more of a comment about the drivers than anything - historically they have been dogshit on the Chinese clones - eg. my last knock-off cintiq required 10 year old drivers you couldn't download anymore These days, at least with huion they seem to be pretty decent and will run on Linux (Ubuntu was…
Yea, maya has it too but both of them are this is the "best we can do" scenario and not the same thing as having it active. Still, the few extra steps are worth it in some cases, for most character geodesic works great and is faster.
Hey guys I only recently came to Polycount so I never really posted anything before, so I thought I might as well show 2 maps I'm really the most proud of. Tell me what you think! They're the second and third one on the site http://www.kevindesmet.com/
Heh thanks for the reply, it does seem like a dumb question after reading back my post. I guess I just wanted to hear it from somebody else. Best idea: Keep using Blender, then get a job at a AAA game studio that uses Blender... oh wait, there isn't any... Always use the best tool for the job. But if you want to work at a studio, you'll be mostly using max and maya. Blender is awesome if you want to develop your own game or freelance/work commercially and you…
Hi, I'm interested in this; but it might be better outlining what i'd have at the end of the course. Will i end up with a small portfolio project? Or is it more a series of basic tutorials so to speak. I'd prefer the course to set me a task, the mentor teach me how to best approach the task and the calls each week going…
Was just wondering what everyone uses or if anyone knows a quick way in photoshop to do this. There's always shadows and Agisoft offers an option to do it with the professional version which is over $1k. I'm willing to pay, but that's a little outside of my range just for that feature. I have access to…
Hello guys. I love League of Legends so i decided to take part in this art madness:) I will create Tryndamere skin. I don't know exactly what i want it to be in the end. But right now i see three options. First one is Tryndamere Vampire. Life steal is a best thing for Tryndamere thats why i want to give him some teeth to…
