When it comes to dynamesh, I try to turn it off as soon as I can (lowest resolution needed). That was I can start to subdivide it like normal to get the rest of the detail into place, and have the ability to step between subdivision levels. The high poly doesn't need UVs though, you can paint with polypaint in Zbrush and…
As mentioned in the title I have got the character to this stage and would love some fresh opinions and feedback before taking the next step. Thanks for your time :)
As a beginner learning texturing I've been doing some research to see which software I should start learning. I narrowed it down to these 2 and would like your input for those artists who have used either or both of these tools. Which do you think is better? I can't find any documentation on 3dc's voxel paint so I can't…
Is there a way to make paint not to fade out at the edges or angles and to be as crisp and intence as at the middle of the geometry. So if i dont want to rotate my mesh and have not blurred paint at the angles. here is the video showing the problem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aDHk-anx1g&feature=youtu.be
Troll Hunter - my non-commercial game character fanart. The total polycount is 13.4 k triangles. It was important for me to work out the readability of the character in the game without lighting due to textures. All textures are made in substance painter using gradients. I hope you will enjoy.…
I have no idea what happened, this is somehting thats across new projects/old projects. No matter what brush I pick it seems that it treats the paint in some sort of blending mode. I assume I've managed to enable something or broken something but I can't for the world of me figure out what.
Hello, I made a low poly axe (with multiple parts) in 3ds Max, unwrapped it and imported the same in Zbrush. The axe has multiple sub tools, each unwrapped already. I am now done detailing sculpting and poly painting all the sub tools of the axe. However, I noticed that after doing a test run for generating a combined…
I'm pulling my hair for this, not sure how to explain so here's a gif of my problem. This model haves UV's, I got rgb set up, the material is flat color. Whenever I pick a darker color and then try to color over it with the ligther shade (in here I color picked the lighter shade color up and as you can see it slightly…
I'm painting my revolver I've been working on, and my last character I had a huge problem with materials vs flat color. Here's my problem: My Basic Material is more of the look I'd want to get in the end result, as far as the color and how it actually looks. However, flat color looks like ass. Is there anyway to ensure…
