There where many pictures in a bag, my picture was in the bag, my picture was drawn from the bag, and I received this... Plus a backpack, some pens, some girl tees, and a handful of button pins :D It was the icing on an already awesome GDC experience -

The toggles make sense though. The ones the left affect the menu on the left. Modeling tools, painting and sculpting tools, baking tools..ect Center toggles change the viewport layout or whats within that space, so center makes sense. Toggles on the right hide or show the object/shader tree..ect, plus pulls up panels. So… -

I have only skimmed this thread so if i'm repeating I apologize. Even if you want very flat painted textures I would suggest a rendered AO/curvature map which you can use as a base for the bricks giving you a realistic finish and will help with getting the right shape. As for your base texture I can see what you are trying…
