Hey all, here are some screenshots of an environment I'm currently finishing up. Next up on my task list is to create a skybox for my night scene. I'm also currently working on the Arenanet environment art test for their internship program. I still have about 300 tris and 512 worth of texture space to play with. Crit me…
Hey guys. I'm currently building an i5 system and all's going well apart from choosing the all crucial GPU. I use Nvidia software like the photoshop plugins and a few bits and bobs, would these run on an ATi card? Basically, I have £120 to £130 (£140 stretching it) on a graphics card, what would you guys recommend based on…
Okay so I'm looking for an industry stand package for texturing my work and 3D coat seems like a good choice (please suggest others if you feel like it) but anyway there is a $300 difference between 3Dcoat amateur and professional and I couldn't find what the difference was. Would anyone be able to answer this question or…
Basically just wanting to improve my low poly texturing skills over the next week or so. I have been making little scenes and props to practice. Ill chronicle this one here, maybe get some texturing tips wen I get there. So far just finished the model: 300 tris, will aim for 128 or 256 texture, Uving now
Well seeing that Mojang makes somewhere around 300 million a year it doesn't feel like they are overpaying much. Game sales ONLY in 2012 was 250 mil. and that doesn't take into account book deals, merchandise, new console sales, PS3 sales etc etc. Merchandise alone is making them more money than game itself by now.
Nevermind, I got it haha! Those darn orient constraints! They are certainly a plague in Maya. Remember everyone, if you don't freeze your transformations on your controllers before you orient constraint to a joint with them, your orient constraint gets a negative 300 x rotation on them, probably. It did to mine. Stupid it…
Same in UE4, you need the first and last frames to be the same in order for a clean loop. Reason is, as opposed to stuff like maya, ue4 doesnt treat animation frames stepped. It smoothly interpolates even inbetween steps (you animate at 24fps, but the game plays at 60 or 120 fps so its really vital that the engine…
Adjusting the Field of View under the render tab will change how much perspective distortion you get. A field of view of 1 will look nearly orthographic, and a field of view of 120 will be super distorted near the edges of the camera. Is this what you are talking about when you say fish eye? I believe the default FOV in…
My video card isn't awesome- I think it's a GeForce 310 or something. But considering that the error isn't in the high-quality render, I wouldn't think that to be the problem. And why would this all of a sudden only happen in Maya 2012? Seems odd. Anyway, thanks- I'm going to try changing the image size- though that really…
