Basically just wanting to improve my low poly texturing skills over the next week or so.
I have been making little scenes and props to practice.
Ill chronicle this one here, maybe get some texturing tips wen I get there.
So far just finished the model:
300 tris, will aim for 128 or 256 texture, Uving now

I'd make the stool square with slightly tapered corners to spare some polies yet look a bit smoother. And I'd make those thin pegs 3 sided if they aren't already.
Heres what the uvs look like
The floor will be a RGB+A separate map.
How the texture looks so far:
Advice welcome as I'm trying to better my "Hand painted" texture skills.
The texture is still wip.
Have a search on here for hand painted threads. Theres been a few and some have really good advice in them.
For the stool you could try something like the texture they used on the wood ends in Stormwind:

Added a floor and some AO both wip, Gana have a crack at the top of the seat now see how it goes
Also found a site that has a good tutorial for texture painting http://www.smileybones.com/tutorials/
Anyway, I like it
And glad to see at least someone looks at my tutorial. haha!
