Hey all, here are some screenshots of an environment I'm currently finishing up. Next up on my task list is to create a skybox for my night scene.
I'm also currently working on the Arenanet environment art test for their internship program. I still have about 300 tris and 512 worth of texture space to play with.
Very nice. Although you can addmore geometry to house roof. It look nice at shoots you privided but, when look from player perspective it will be fuzzed because of mip-maps.
An my first though for house was RIFT not GuildWars ;p.
Thanks for the comment. I'll play around with the roof today. I think I'll also make the chimney connect to the roof better.
I played all the Guildwars expansions but I have been playing Rift recently so that probably has something to do with it ;p
The only crit I have is the roof moss seems a bit blotchy to me. I'd expect the moss to grow where the rain flows down and gets displaced along the roof, especially on a steep roof. Kind of like this.
Here's a quick little paint over to see what I mean. It's up to you though, I like the environment you're making for it.

The moss is all vertex painted on. I used the green channel of my roof and stone texture and the green channel of a noise texture to get the moss to blend nicely. I also painted a hint of green in my stone diffuse texture. For the tall grass on top of the stone I just stuck 6 tris together and then hand placed them around the building.

I also decided that my house needed an environment to sit in so I started making all of the assets yesterday.
Here's a quick little paint over to see what I mean. It's up to you though, I like the environment you're making for it.
