in the Contests and Challenges forum. http://boards.polycount.net/forumdisplay.php?f=47 there are usually weekly/monthly challenges but the Dominance War has occupied most people for the last 2-3 months. things should be back to normal in a couple weeks or so when everyone has had a rest.
This guy hit the jackpot, starting from making $100 to netting a lazy $69m selling his stuff in just a few months: https://www.theverge.com/2021/3/11/22325054/beeple-christies-nft-sale-cost-everydays-69-million ...but for heaps of others occupying the same space, basically beer money.
I have a simple mesh I'm trying to bake normals on. The meshes occupy the same coordinate space and have UVs. When I try to bake, the normal map comes up empty. Tried baking in substance and marmoset. Tried increasing and decreasing ray distance. What am I missing?
Now keep in mind that I'm severely occupied being sick (getting better) and working w @Fansub on something bigger, and having great responsibilities and this and that so I may not be as active as before at peak here, that's also one of the reason I made C+ free too... anyway I beg your forgiveness

If I wasn't spending so damn much money on twin turbo soarers I would have waited out for the Samsung 275T (27" @1920x1200) with the CCFL backlighting. I just bought a Samsung 215TW the other day and it's hotter than co-occupying a confined space with Scarlett Johansson. Seriously it's that good.
I'm no expert and I could be wrong here but afaik its good practice to make major parts have almost the same texel density(I hope i get the term right).Big surfaces like the ground for example should occupy more space compared to walls?
I'm not familiar with the character workflow to make cinematic characters where multiple UV tiles are used for just the head. I've tried using a UDIM workflow but when i tried to load this into substance painter with the check next to creating texture sets per udim tile, it still reads all tilesets as occupying one UV space
Yeah I guess I am relying on the cascade of objects and that in the final video there will be a ridiculous amount of action going on to keep you occupied. I was kind of hoping to make ppl think the solider might be dead too and needed a little time for that idea to sit before he pops up.
Yeah but these are Unsullied, they aren't mead-sodden Westerotians... I really recommend reading the books, you miss out on all the depth of these characters. Plus Dany has been led to believe that the whole of Westeros will drop on one knee as soon as she drops anchor, with only the Lannisters and Baratheons (currently…
