I have a simple mesh I'm trying to bake normals on.
The meshes occupy the same coordinate space and have UVs.
When I try to bake, the normal map comes up empty.
Tried baking in substance and marmoset.
Tried increasing and decreasing ray distance.
What am I missing?

Turned out something was up with my UVs. They looked fine flat but the geometry was cut into random pieces instead of clean islands (the morph UV feature in zbrush clued me into this!). I did new UVs quickly in ZBrush and everything baked fine.
I made the original UVs in 3D Coat. Dang, it seems like every time I use 3D coat something goes weird!
