Really? How about lightmass? Look at this image rendered in Redshift: GTX 470: 155 seconds GTX 670: 123 seconds GTX Titan: 77 seconds Also, modern render engines allow you to see progressive rendering result while you work on materials. Could anyone suggest how much time it would take to bake lightmass for such scene? -

Yeah you can have profiles and Macros on the Razer Naga too. Dunno why I don't just make Macros... Also there are some other options for the buttons as well, 123 numbers or NUM pad, Macros, Sensitivity change, scrolling options, etc. Then there's obviously a whole bunch of options for "actual" buttons and what have you.… -

$10 subscription is awesome! If I'm doing part time freelance work I can activate it whenever I want which is nice. Plus! You can roll back to previous versions if you want. So, dont like CC 2015, roll back all the way to CS6. Its a great price point too. Not to expensive. Now, the $123 Max subscription can go eat itself... -

One idea would be to colorize your cells with a gradient map (0 127 127 and 255 127 127 on respective side), create a gradient linear 2, and use your cells to drive a vector warp to offset each cell by color. It won't result in a sooth gradient over the whole cell though, like it could be highest at the middle or… -

Look at the bottom right of your screenshot - grid=1m. A dead giveaway that your chair is huge. Each grid spacing is 1 metre. You should save your synced unit and grid sizes into your maxstart.max file. One of the tips I gave in my 3DArtist issue 123 article was to make use of the Maxstart file. cubed modeling -- Resurrected thread
not sure what it was originally called, but "cubed modeling" is how i seem to remember it. The idea is to create a model with 128 polys, and use a 128x128 texture map to skin it. I increased the scale of the entire scene here by 10% It still felt a little small so I compared 110% to 120% 110 on the left, 120 on the right. I felt the Z value is too much at 120% but felt really good for the XY. It annoys me to much so much effort into real world scale and then learn it's better without it, that's why… -
