Joe, this dithering on normalmaps is great! I had your tutorial here open on my tabs for a long time but just tested it today in marmoset I was experiencing a lot of those problems in Dota over metalic materials. I am going to test this on the next texture for sure! thanks for taking some time to share this:)
Hello there! In few words, I was able to import a mesh for the particles for a custom weapon on v6.84. Now with the new dota reborn and his workshop tools, I can't find where i do this so the particles position of the default weapon appear in the demo mode.. If someone know how to try my particles mesh and get ingame…
I guess i'm not conveying my concept clearly enough then. I'm trying to take the in-game Dota 2 item, Medallion of Courage, and turn it into a face mask for Dazzle. In no way, shape, or form, am I trying to take someone else's design and ask someone to make it.

Idk, I've been at this for the last few days and am following that dota guide. This no lighting, no normals, only texture business is tough bossiness. What should I do to make this one better, I don't want to overdetail like on the test, but this one is under detailed now.
ty , yes about the normal map : after a conversation I had today concerning the dota contest I'll just make the high-poly version of the gun and do the normal maps with that version then, but extra details on the normal maps i'll add in photoshop with the normal map plugin.
Btw i'm working on this pa weapon. big thanks to Nannou, he helped me a lot. Concept from "Hellmouth" but i can't find him. i heard that he is estranged from dota item works for a while. If i reach to him Nannou will make textures for this. Maybe someone can help me to find him?
