Waz, try reinstalling your x-fi drivers. I had issues pulling up any of the creative software after upgrading, but once i reinstalled the drivers i was good to go. I'm not sure how it handles in 3DS, but in SI Mental Ray's Ink/Toon shader gives two options for ink boundaries that are on by default: silhouette and interior.
