I've been following along with this tutorial :
http://www.3dartistonline.com/news/2015/04/how-do-i-create-real-time-hair-for-games I'm stuck on step 11 because I have no clue where the curve is drawn on. I think the tutorial assumes you would know the process. Does anyone have any insight on this? Or maybe followed this same tutorial at one point and figured it out/knew how to continue? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry for the dumb questions, but this whole process is pretty alien to me. I typically just sculpt the hair, but i'm pushing myself to learn this process.
EDIT: Ok so it seems it crashes after i add the UV texture on the plane and then draw the curve on it...
