You need to take a step back and think about how the room would really be lit. The ambient lighting is killing everything, as you've already noted. Really, the light coming in from the roof would hit a surface and scatter. The bounce light from that scatter should fall off, meaning your walls should not be lit evenly. Try…
It all sounds perfectly sensible. Have meetings about it where you explain this to everbody, use some sort of internal wiki. When somebody does something wrong, talk to them right away to point their mistake out. Also, remember that scripting things make a lot of these things much easier. Hopefully you have a good tech…
Wow, great to see that there is some interest! Tyler - thanks for the thoughts and advice. We are definitly going to be drawing up a good contract if we do it. It was my first worry as well. We would be looking into some of the other stuff you mentioned. Part of the plan is to hopefully set it up in a sort of co-op manner.…
Heya and welcome to yet another PARPG news update. This time the question of the week is: Mirror mirror on the wall, who has the fairest portrait of them all? You decide! I'm not entirely sure if you're suggesting to attempt to salvage a project by appending the contents of a file that can't be opened? Sometimes it works, but when the RNA structure of the file is broken it'll likely fail and there's pretty much nothing you can do to salvage it other than relying on different backups. I have…
i don't really see Business Cards as being as needed in the 3D industry as they are in other fields. since in 3d your no likely going to meet future employers in person. vs being in film or audio where there is a good chance you will meet people on set or at gigs that might hire you in person.
Okay, Back with another update. I polished some more finer details ( as if that ever finishes... ) and setup a scene in marmoset i thought would look cool. I changed some of the camera settings regarding the focus and did a render with those.
