UVW Edtior image size confusion
When I load a image into my materials in max and display them in the UVW editor background they seem too small. So the other day I was working with two different images. One was 512 x 512 and the other is 512 x 32. The 512 x 32 displays at double or triple the size - which is what I want my 512 x 512 to show up as. I'm at… -

Snader, dpi is one thing (printer resolution), and ppi another. I think you are confused because i'm talking about 1:1 quality. There's no point printing a photo at 9600dpi when we are using an image of 600ppi. Your printer may have 9600x2400dpi, as mine, but at the end, you may only end printing at 600dpi because that's a… -

Is photoshop your default image viewer for the format you're trying to save/open? Does the error occur when you save the image, or try to open the image after saving? Try changing the default program for the file extension (.jpg, .png, .gif) to be something like, "windows image viewer" or something like that. Cheers, D -
cant save images on alien swarm SDK
Ok ive looked all over on how to stop this problem but so far cant find anything. I have started using image planes in 3ds max because I have found the viewport background to be inaccurate sometimes. Problem is in order for the image planes to show up in ortho views, I have to turn off wireframe, which means the polys are solid and I can't see the details beneath.
