I recently got a intuos3 and it hasnt really been working the way i want...mostly when i watch the vid tutorials on this site, it almost seems like the harder the darker it is and vice versa, not to mention if they dont press hard it always keeps the same diamater of the selected brush size... When i paint in PS and have a…
two methods oldskool- 2 sets of uvs your normal one then one that has different seams...render from one to the other fix the seams then render back and add those new bit to your old texture nuskool- paint over the seams in zbrush or mudbox or 3d paint or whatever as you painting on the mesh
Heya! I thought that to keep myself motivated to do more 3D stuff, I'd start a thread here on Polycount for hand painted models & concepts :) I enjoy illustration, and combining that with 3D models. I made this set of weapons that I'm going to make hand painted props of. Thoughts and feedback on the concepts, and the props…
Hi all i'm working on this hand painted weapon. painting at this stage is not done and i want to add some more details and color variations but not sure if the overall look of the model and values are correct. maybe it needs some more highlights to be added? want to establish the larger details before i move to the smaller…
I love the modeling and rendering. These look like they're gonna be really cool. I'm assuming that you don't have to texture them since they are going to be 3d printed? Will they be painted when you buy them or will they all get the same paint job when they are manufactured? My only complaint is that the female character…
I've noticed something odd, if I adjust vertex alpha by hand the vert count stays the same as the number of actual verts but if I use the Vertex Paint modifier to paint the vertex alpha the number is tripled. I don't like the idea of tweaking the alpha of 2,000 vertices by hand. BTW I'm getting the verts from Max's "Map…
Heya! I've been struggling with this workflow for ages, going from a high-poly sculpt and ending up with what looks like a hand-painted texture. Biggest inspirations being Faf and Orb. <3 So this thread is basically me trying to figure this shit out once and for all. My prior attempts all ended up with me just…
Jacob Claussen did a beautiful hand painted scene for the King Arthur challenge and talks to us about his process of achieving such a style, the composition of his scene as well as some colour theory and book recommendations. https://www.exp-points.com/hand-painting-stylized-environments
as it says in the title, I've got paint weights on, skinned mesh selected and everything is normal except I can't see the greyscale weight display. 'Color Feedback' is on, and the display sliders don't do anything.. Painting weights like this is impossible, anyone know where the problem is?
hey guys, curious about how to paint a texture onto a static mesh in UDK, for example i would like to model out a few different boulders, import them into udk, and then paint a moss texture directly onto the rocks inside of udk. Thanks for the help!
