Thought that was some really interesting research by Ryan Schmidt (Meshmixer creater). It's bascially using curves on a surface to create patches with tiling details on it Bit techy but cool to warch: http://www.youtube.com/v/zm5nosxKZvs?version=3&hl=en_GB
I would really like to know what everyone's opinion is on opensubdiv, I only recently saw it and I am very interested in finding out what is everyone's opinion is for this new extension.
lol i cant believe they got rid of shift + drag extrude in maya 2016..at least to my knowledge, i just downloaded the trial and it's no longer there. That was one of the biggest additions (of the very few for modelers at least) with their integration with nex..and they got rid of it..good job autodesk.
Quadro K4000 has issues with Mudbox as far as i know. it is also not certified by Autodesk last time i checked. k4000 is $800 and for quite a bit less, you can get firepro w7000 @ $660 which will run all your dev tools as far as my experience with it tells me.
So I'm not entirely sure if this is possible so I thought I'd ask. If I make a material using the Hypershade in Maya for an object, is there any way I can export the separate maps for that?
Some of this has already hit the forums, but if you want to know more then go to the link below. There are videos from the product managers based on FAQs, but there's also a live event later today and also tomorrow http://area.autodesk.com/2014unfold/index.html
