The concept's snout looks a bit more elongated than yours, and the head is definitely thrust forward. Your eye ridges are much more prominent than in the concept. The chords on the neck are odd - they appear to run from the back of the skull to the front of the neck.
Hey everyone! I am going to start posting more regularly to keep a record of my progress over the coming years. I have been working on a few face studies and a skull study to gain a proper understanding of the forms of the face. Feedback would be greatly appreciated! :) Study 1: Studies 2 and 3:
Just wanted to give a big congrats to Jeremy, who will be joining the Id team early next month as the new VFX artist for the Rage team! I would post some cats and cake pictures, but all I have is death and skulls on my computer, so please help me congratulate him:) Spark
Hey everyone, This is something I started recently, a model of H.R. Giger's painting, Landscape XIX. I am going to bring it into mudbox and sculpt in the worn areas on the metal as well as add details to the skull and what not, then render normals and all that good stuff. Critiques and comments appreciated. Thanks. H.R.…
Well this is my first post on here and I am rather new to sculpting and such. I do go to school for game art design and I'm doing a "skull study" trying to get a better foundation on proper anatomy. I also plan to post on here my other things to hopefully show my progression
dunno if this has been posted before... but; 3d museum it features loads of different skulls from different animals, and you can view them using a look up of their familys and genus, and you can move them about in 3d, which is pretty cool. just thought it might be of interest to people Manic
Hey, everyone! I decided to create my own sketchbook, where I will be showing anything that does not belong to any specific WIP, but stuff that I would still like to share. Any critique and comments are always welcome. I started learning human anatomy, and here are some studies of the human skull:
Here's a digital painting that I just started and would like to get some critiques on it. I definitely want to work on the zombie some more (work on the skull, the positioning of the right arm, and add more decay and disgust into him) and I feel that the composition could use some work.
I found SOF2 at least at the time could be pretty shockingly gory. I also realized skulls being taken appart chunk by chunk didn't really add anything to my gameplay experience. But ya, strictly tecnically speaking.. Gore is hard.
There's way more volume with your lighting now and it is improved for sure. However, there's nowhere to focus you eye right now. I would try having some light emitting from behind the gate and perhaps from the skull which would lessen.
