Has anyone else been experiencing Maya UI bugs? For example the Outliner UI would just be blank, also the channel box . Certain Tool settings would just not refresh update. Maya hasn't been this bad to me since 2008. Anything you guys got to help out would be great. Before i forget i already reset my pref to default, still…
Great scene developing here Scott. If you are intending on making the atlantic express train the real world reference was the Hudson 490 streamliner. Streamliners are a great source of reference for the art deco style. I'm currently in the middle of producing a streamliner that's pretty much the Hudson 490 with a few minor…
What would be the best way to create lit windows like the ones on this model, when using a PBR workflow? It seems like these might need to be added manually, after the textures have left Quixel/Substance Painter? https://cdn2.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/001/833/742/large/victor-kam-c-harvester-01.jpg?1453449287

But i definitely would have loved to work on the latest Anno too, because it was a really nice and round game, especially for a german production, anyone who worked on that can be really proud of his work.
Hi Britney! I think you're trying to paint the hair as too many threadlike separate strands, which gives the hair a busy, feathered look. It would be better to visualize the hair as bigger shapes, such as ribbons, that interlock and interweave. James Gurney made an interesting post about this on his blog, hopefully it…

It uses…
Ok your creating a composite shader not a map, this isnt what you want. You need to stay with the standard shader, go to the diffuse map slot and create the composite map in there. this will give you a node in the diffuse slot that can do basic compositing much like a mix8layer in maya heres a tutorial on the map…
